THEY have been overlooked time and time again but the search for a forever home continues for these animals.

Ferrets, cats and dogs are among those looking for homes.

The long-stay animals, at RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre in Colwyn Bay, have spent many hours, days, weeks and months in care.

There are several ferrets at the centre. Bumble, Floyd and Frankie have been at Bryn-y-Maen the longest.

There is also Minnie the Minx, a cat who is about six years old. Staff describe Minnie, who adores food, as a 'lap cat'. She dislikes other cats and wouldn't be able to live with a dog and would want an owner all to herself.

Milo, a cross-breed who was signed over to the care of the charity after he was found in inappropriate conditions, is still waiting patiently for his second home.

The four year old is a confident well-grounded dog who "loves" to go out for group walks with other dogs after a proper introduction.

Chris Butler, animal centre supervisor, said: “We really want to find homes for these wonderful animals as soon as possible as they have been with us for far too long.

“We’re always surprised when some animals are sometimes overlooked time and time again - as we know just how loving and wonderful they are - but although they may be unwanted they are certainly loved by us.

“If you are thinking about getting a pet, please pop along to the centre. We urge you to ‘adopt don’t shop’ and come along and meet some of our animals looking for homes."

Any readers who think they can offer any of the animals mentioned above a new loving home are asked to get in touch with Bryn-y-Maen. Telephone 0300 123 0745 or email brynymaen@rspca.org.uk

The centre is open between 11am and 4pm everyday, except Wednesdays.
