It’s all change at Denbigh leisure facility

DENBIGH Leisure Centre is to undergo improvements that will see the addition of a new, modern dance studio.

Due to the maintenance there will be some changes in services available at the leisure centre.

“This is an exciting development and shows that at a time of financial constraints, the Council feels that it's important to continue investing in leisure facilities, for the health and well-being of our residents,” said Jamie Groves, Denbighshire's head of communications, marketing and leisure.

'We want our leisure centre users to have a modern facility that is up to date. The gymnasium did not meet the standard and ambition of a modern day leisure service and that is why we are delighted to be opening the brand new studio facility in early April.”

The sports hall will be closed from Thursday March 14 to 15 with alternative group exercise classes available at Ruthin and St Asaph.

From Monday 18 March to Friday 22 March the swimming pool will close slightly earlier in the evenings.

A temporary swimming timetable is available at the reception and on the leisure centre website.

The sports hall will be closed from 8am - 5pm from Monday March 25 - Thursday March 28, with the normal activity session after 5pm.

Alternative Sportzone sessions will be available at Ruthin and St Asaph Leisure Centres throughout the week.

Customers and clubs affected have been contacted directly to advise them of this disruption and in some cases to arrange alternative facilities/bookings.

Further details can be found by visiting the group exercise class programme on or by contacing the leisure centre reception on 01745 816311.
