A CYCLIST is in hospital with serious injuries after an accident near Ruthin over the weekend.
At about 1.23pm last Sunday, June 15, the Welsh Ambulance Service attended the accident on the A494 at Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd, between Mold and Ruthin.
A 47-year old male cylcist received serious injuries and was taken by Wales Air Ambulance to the Stoke Hospital trauma ward.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.18pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist in Llanbedr.
“A paramedic in a rapid response car attended together with a Wales Air Ambulance, and a man with serious injuries was airlifted to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.”
