AS the summer temperatures continue to peak the people of Denbighshire and Gwynedd are enjoying their first true summer in several years.
Crowds have flocked to Llangollen to enjoy the Dee waters.
Visitors from across Wales and the rest of the world were to be seen on the rocks in the centre of Llangollen.
Where they enjoyed the hot weather with the cooling waters of the River Dee.
Richard Taylor from Bolton is spending a short holiday in the area.
He brought his children Isabel and Alex to play at the river.
He said: "A friend of mine as a caravan near the abbey so we do come here quite a bit. Llangollen is a really beautiful place. It's so relaxing and there is loads to do for the kids. It makes a a real cahnge from Bolton."
Ashley and Tasha Westgate, from Eastbourne, were visiting Langollen for the first time.
Tasha said: "We're staying in Shrewsbury and read about Llangollen in the brochures in the holiday cottage. We came for the train and the boat ride. It's rally beautiful and the people are really friendly."
Ashley said: "We hadn't heard of Llangollen before. It has been the highlight of the trip. It's a real gem. We'll definitely be telling our frinds about the place."
