FOOTBALL fans from Denbigh unveiled a Find Arthur Jones banner at Liverpool FC’s pre-season friendly against Preston North End at their Deepdale ground.
Rhodri Jones made a Find Arthur Jones flag on Friday night, having seen the trip to Deepdale as an oportunity to raise awareness of the search for Arthur. Him and his friends displayed the flag inside the ground as well as in a pub before the game started.
"We wanted to do our bit to help with the search," said Rhodri.
"I've known Arthur and his son Jeff for a long time. I made the flag the night before the game. We put it up before the game and also on the pitch at half-time.
“The stewards were really good and allowed us to do it. I think they understood how important it is.”
The Find Arthur campaign has seen messages of support, using the hashtag #findarthur, from as far afield as Hong Kong, Australia, America and Turkey thanks to a social media campaign to help find the popular Denbigh grandfather.
People, including high profile celebrities, inclduing Ripper Street actor Matthew MacFadyen and star of Ripper Street and Game of Thrones Jerome Flynn, have been pictured holding up messages urging the public to find the former British Army Cadet Trainer.
