ALL the fun of the fair was enjoyed by visitors to this year’s Denbigh Show.
With classic cars, the 72nd Annual Denbigh Flower Show and children’s entertainment there was something for everyone, despite the inclement weather.
Proudly catering for all ages from “pre-schoolers to pensioners”, organisers promised an “interesting range of activities and displays” and, accompanied by live music throughout the day, they didn’t disappoint.
Workshops, arena shows and static displays ran alongside a pet show, horse events and show favourites including Punch and Judy all took place on Lon Felin Field, Ystrad Road.
Steve Williams, show secretary, said it was a "very enjoyable day" despite the weather which "hit us at the gate".
"We had many positive comments back from the visitors over the diverse entertainment," he said.
"The Blues Brothers and the clown act in the main arena were well received, everything went to plan and there were no surprises.
"The flower show was particularly good this year with 200 more exhibits than last year despite the National Vegetable Championships being held in Wrexham on the same weekend."
Preparations for next year are already well underway and organisers will be meeting next month to assess how the show can build on the success of this year.
