Helicopter used in rescue of man in Llangollen

A helicopter was used in the  rescue of a man from Dinas Bran in Llangollen last night.

A North Wales Ambulance service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.46pm last night, Wednesday August 12, to reports a man had taken ill near the summit of Dinas Bran in Llangollen.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, which was supported by a Search and Rescue helicopter.

“The man was airlifted to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
