BALA TOWN 3, MBI LLANDUDNO 0

IN-FORM Bala Town are now only six points behind Welsh Premier League frontrunners The New Saints.

With the Saints suffering a surprise loss to Gap Connah's Quay, the Lakesiders enter the league split in good spirits following a superb success in their top-of-the-table clash with Llandudno.

Maes Tegid supporters witnessed a first half masterclass as Bala welcomed Llandudno for a vital clash.

The two teams are gunning for European football and both were hoping to end the first half of the season in second spot in the table.

When a header was cleared off the line and arrived at an alert Lee Hunt, he instantly blasted the ball into the back of the net to give Bala a deserved 1-0 lead.

Hunt got his second on 22 minutes and Mike Hayes slotted in goal number three before the break.
