Woman dies after tractor crash near Corwen

POLICE are investigating after a woman was killed in a tractor collision near Corwen.

The woman, who was the driver of the tractor, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other vehicles were involved. The woman has not been named.

Emergency services were called shortly after 8pm on Sunday to the incident which happened on agricultural land.

Polcie say the health and safety executive and the coroner have been informed.

North Wales Fire and Rescue and North East Wales Search and rescue also attended.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 8:36pm to reports of an incident at a proeprty near Corwen. Four crews from Corwen, Cerrigydrudion, Wrexham and Llangollen attended.

"We assisted in making the scene safe, with the situation under control by 23:57."

15 North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) volunteers attended the incident.

The NEWSAR team has sent condolences to the deceased's family and friends.
