POLICE investigating a burglary at a garage on the A494 Corwen to Bala road during the early hours of this morning (Friday, January 13) have arrested three men.   

The three men, arrested in the Merseyside area, are due to be interviewed by detectives.

DCI Brian Kearney, at Caernarfon Police Station, said: “A garage was broken into in the Corwen area during the early hours of this morning and a quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

“Following Police attendance at the scene enquiries were undertaken with our colleagues in Merseyside Police and three men were subsequently arrested in a 4 x 4 vehicle early this morning.  

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in those areas between 2.30am and 5am and saw any suspicious activity or vehicles to contact North Wales Police”.

“Our aim of reducing rural crime and rigorously investigating those that take place will continue however it must be stressed that we need assistance from our local communities to reduce incidents of this nature and identify those responsible in the first instance.    

“Remain vigilant at all times, always ensure your property is locked and secured and if you see any suspicious behaviour contact police immediately.”
