Channel 5's narrowboating show "Celebrity Carry On Barging" pitches up on the Llangollen Canal this evening with four celebs discovering the joys of piloting a narrowboat over the Pontcysyllte aqueduct.

Former model Lorraine Chase joins Nigel Havers, Debbie McGee and Four Weddings and a Funeral star Simon Callow on what is arguably the most beautiful leg of their journey.

According to the episode synopsis they immerse themselves in the culture, scenery and rich history of this remarkable waterway.

This episode sees Simon Callow forced to confront his claustrophobia whilst navigating a tunnel and Debbie McGee perform a magic trick for the first time since the death of her husband Paul Daniels.

The celebs have already visited the Kennet and Avon Canal and taken the Llangollen Canal up from Grindey Brook, stopping in Ellesmere in Shropshire.

Channel 5’s Greg Barnett said of the series: "Celebrity Carry on Barging is an enjoyable and entertaining jaunt through the countryside canals of Britain, with four famous faces paired together to experience a unique barging adventure.

“If you’ve ever wondered whether this sort of holiday is right for you, this series will either tempt you to try canal boating or convince you not to.”

Channel 5's Celebrity Carry On Barging starts at 8pm this evening.
