Floral tributes have been left for a man killed in a horror crash near a country park.
Flowers have been placed near where the unnamed driver of a grey BMW died following the crash on Saturday evening on Ruthin Road in Loggerheads.
North Wales Police said it was believed that the man, who was local to the Flintshire area, had not been discovered for more than 16 hours following the crash.
Officers were not called to the scene until shortly before noon on Sunday where it was reported a grey BMW car had been found in a hedge but they believe the crash happened at around 7.30pm the evening before.
Sgt Nicola Collins from the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to anybody who may have seen the grey coloured BMW travelling on the A494 from the direction of Llanferres towards Mold prior to the collision to contact us.”
The road was closed for several hours on Sunday while police officers carried out investigation work.
Anybody with information is asked to call the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via the live web chat quoting reference number V031092.
