A DENBIGHSHIRE business has been nominated for two major national awards.

This year will be marked by the ninth Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards, organised by Creative Oceanic, and a Henllan establishment has been nominated in two categories.

Central Salon Hair and Beauty, run by Laura Peters, is a nominee in the neighbourhood salon of the year and most loved salon of the year categories.

"So excited and privileged to have been selected again," said Laura, who was also nominated for the 2022 awards.

Voted for by the public and with more than 20.000 nominations received, the awards seek to recognise and commend the efforts, tireless work and success of people working in the hair and beauty industry.

The black-tie event will take place on Sunday, May 14 at The Cardiff City Stadium.

The stars that set to redefine our hair, skin and make-up look with their transformative formulas and boundary-breaking innovation will gather to celebrate their success and the growth of the industry.

The ceremony promises to be a night to remember, dedicated exclusively to those who work hard to make us look our best by following the latest trends and using creative techniques that result in flawless looks.

The hair and beauty industry is a vast field, encompassing a wide range of professionals, including hairdressers, beauticians, makeup artists, nail technicians, and more. The shortlisted professionals are experts in their craft, and they strive to provide their clients with high-quality services that enhance their natural beauty.

There will be plenty of local interest at the awards.

Ruthin's Ffion Therapi Harddwch Beauty Therapy is nominated in the North Wales beauty salon of the year section, with five establishments in line for the regional hair and beauty salon of the year accolade.

These are Bala trio Blade-Blewyn Y Bala, K P S Hair Lounge and Gwalldy Tegid, plus Llangollen's Jade's Hair and Beauty, and Cut & Curl hair and nail salon, Ruthin.

There are a trio of Llangollen businesses shortlisted for the North Wales barbers of the year prize - Llangollen Barber Shop, S F T W Barber’s Shop and LL19 Barbers.
