A MULTI-agency search is being carried out for a "high-risk" missing person.

On Tuesday, March 26, North Wales Police put an appeal for the man, only named as Ieuan.

They said: "North Wales Police have concerns for Ieuan, 55 years old missing from the Newborough Llanfairpwllgwyngyll area. He was last seen on Tuesday at 1.50pm in the Newborough area.

"He is described as 5ft10, slim build, clean shaven head possibly wearing blue jeans and a black bomber type jacket."

Môn SAR were called out by North Wales Police to search for Ieuan.

The search continued at first light this morning.

Rhosneigr Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked.

A spokesperson said: "We were tasked at 5pm by MRCC Holyhead along with Bangor Coastguard Rescue Team, North Wales Penmon Coastguards and Llandwrog Coastguard Rescue Team to assist North Wales Police in a wide area missing person search around the Newborough area.

"Coastal searches of the area carried out throughout the evening and into the early hours by coastguard rescue teams and with the Môn SAR lowland rescue team and search dogs searching inland areas

"Also assisting in the search of the area were the Treaddur Bay and Porthdinllaen lifeboats, Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 936, and the NPAS plane."
