EASTER! A time synonymous with rebirth, renewal, and perhaps most importantly, Easter egg hunts.

Every year, families and friends come together to take part in this tradition, scouring parks, gardens in search of hidden chocolate treasures.

Here's our list of Easter egg hunts taking place around Conwy and Denbighshire that are great for families!

🐣 Easter Egg Hunt - Craig y Don Park, Llandudno

This egg-citing Easter egg hunt is being organised by Queens Road Church and Friends of Queen’s Park Craig Y Don.

The hunt takes place on Saturday, March 30, starting from 11am. 

The event includes the hunt itself, an Easter bonnet contest, a craft tent and more. 


🐣 Easter Sunday Egg Hunt - Ruthin Castle Hotel and Spa

On March 31, Ruthin Castle Hotel and Spa will put on an Easter trail (bag of chocolate eggs included for the children) around the castle.

After the trail, children can enjoy a slice of pizza whilst showing off their creative skills during the hotel's Easter colouring activity! Adults will receive a hog roast bap

This event will run from 1pm until 3.30pm. 

£10 per adult / £7.95 per child (12 and under). Full payment required on booking.

🐣 Easter Egg Hunt and Crafts - RSPB Conwy

Tegi the dragon has lost his eggs somewhere around the nature reserve. Hunters are needed to follow the clues to help him find them!

The event will feature Easter crafts to take home.

Two sessions available on Sunday, March 31: 11am until 12.30pm and 2pm until 3.30pm. Attendees are asked to arrive five minutes before the start time of their time slot.

Booking essential. Members £8.75, non-members £10.75. No charge for adults (max two adults per booking).

Kindly note that the egg hunt does not involve hunting for chocolate eggs but each child will get a chocolate treat to take home. Upon booking, parents or guardians should let the RSPB know if their child has any dietary requirements.


🐣 Easter egg hunt - Bodnant Garden
Follow the trail and find activities for the whole family inspired by nature at Bodnant Garden in the Conwy Valley.

The trail is open between March 23 and April 1, between 9:30am and 4pm. The price of each trail is £3 which includes an activity sheet, rabbit ears, and a chocolate egg, vegan or Free From chocolate egg.

Normal admission to the garden applies.

Attendees can also join a bug hunt around the garden this Easter. Learn about insects and enjoy fun activities along the way.

🐣 Community Garden Launch and Easter Egg Hunt - Gwaenysgor

Want to make Easter 'eggstra' special for your little ones this year?

Join Gwaenysgor Horticulture Group on Saturday, March 30, from 2pm at Gwaenysgor Village Hall for a fun-packed, magical Easter Egg Hunt and the launch of their brand new community garden.

The group will also be holding a tea, coffee and cake sale. All funds raised will go to North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) to help rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need

There is also stalls from local producers and a talk from horticultural expert, Hannah Barrows.

🐣 Easter Egg Hunt - St Thomas's Church, Denbigh

St Thomas's Church will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. This will run between 9.30am and 11.30am. All welcome.

On Thursday, March 28, the church is running a free event from 10am until 1pm. This will be for an Easter Picnic and other activities.


🐣 The Great Easter Eggsperience 2024 - Manorafon Farm Park, Abergele

Manorafon Farm Park is hosting the perfect Easter event for families and it includes an Easter egg hunt!

Little ones can also meet the Easter Bunny and pot their own carrots [additional fee] and on top of all that, farm park admission is included too.

Families can pay extra to take part in the Chocolate Factory. This includes decorating a biscuit with chocolate and sweets, and creating a tub of treats to take to the Great Chocolate Fountain.

For the Easter Egg Hunt, little ones will love searching around the farm park to find six coloured eggs (you will need two of each!) in order to claim a yummy chocolate treat.

The event will run until April 1.

🐣 Easter Egg Hunt - Good News Mission Rhyl

Good News Mission, on Marsh Road in Rhyl, has plenty of fun planned this Easter season.

An Easter Fun Day will be hosted on March 30 between 2pm and 5pm. Activities will include an Easter Egg Hunt and food and drink. There will be an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny, have a photo and enjoy an Easter story movie as well as fun and games.

All ages welcome! Adults £2, Under 16's £1 and children aged under four are free.

On Sunday, March 31 there will be an Easter movie. This is for ages between 16 to 35. Young people can 'chill, relax, eat, drink and watch'. On offer will be popcorn, sweets, smoothies and hot chocolate. Price: £2.


🐣 Easter Eggstravaganza - Denbigh Castle

Denbigh Castle is hosting a 'Medieval Eggstravaganza Weekend'!

Between March 29 and April 1, the castle is running an Easter Trail. All children are invited to take part in the Easter Egg Hunt.

If successful in their quest, the first 300 children will receive a chocolate treat.

Attendees do not need to book tickets for this event.


🐣 Easter Dragon Egg Hunt - Gwrych Castle

Between Monday, March 23 and Monday, April 1, Gwrych Castle, near Abergele, will be hosting its Easter Dragon Egg Hunt.

This is an egg hunt with a difference! Dewi the pet dragon has escaped and has laid eggs around the castle. Youngsters (and older ones!) can take part in quests with puzzles and riddles along the way to find all of the large dragon eggs and nests. Adventurers will also meet the medieval castle residents who need the dragon found as soon as possible!

Those that complete the quests and challenges will be rewarded with a chocolate treat.

🐣 Great Penguin Eggs-capade - Welsh Mountain Zoo, Colwyn Bay

Easter activities at the Welsh Mountain Zoo kicked off on March 23 and will run until April 14.

All young visitors will be encouraged to take part in the Easter egg hunt which will journey across the globe and explore different continents and enclosures.

There are also Easter treats for little explorers who find all the wandering eggs!

Teenagers and adults are not forgotten. There is a ‘grown up’ egg hunt and a chance to win an Easter egg bundle [once a secret trail is completed!]

The zoo will also be hosting its Penguin Parade along with species talks and its daily Sea Lion feeding and presentations.

Kaitlyn Jenkins, Marketing Executive at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, said: “There is so much love for our wonderful penguins that we wanted to celebrate them this Easter and theme our fun and games around them."
