CONCERNS continue to grow for a 'high risk' missing man.

A huge multi-agency search has been conducted for 55-year-old man, only known as Ieuan.

Ieuan was reported missing from the Newborough on Anglesey on Tuesday, March 26.

The last confirmed sighting of Ieuan was on CCTV at 2.11pm on the Tuesday.

He was seen on walking along A4080 Chapel Street, past the village car park towards the Llanddwyn beach area.

Just after 5pm tonight (March 27), NWP Anglesey put out the following statement: "We have growing concerns for Ieuan.

"Ieuan is described to be 5ft10 in height, of a slim build and has a clean-shaven head.

"He was last seen wearing blue denim jeans, with a dark blue hoodie, a black bomber type jacket and dark coloured trainers with white laces - as seen in the CCTV images. He is also believed to be carrying a black rucksack."

Chief Inspector Caroline Mullen-Hurst said: “We are appealing to anyone with CCTV footage in the Chapel Street area, or anyone who may have seen Ieuan yesterday to make contact with us as soon as possible.

“Specialist officers are supporting the family as inquiries into Ieuan's disappearance continue.”

Môn SAR were called out by North Wales Police to search for Ieuan.

The search continued at first light this morning.

Rhosneigr Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked.

A spokesperson said: "We were tasked at 5pm [on March 26] by MRCC Holyhead along with Bangor Coastguard Rescue Team, North Wales Penmon Coastguards and Llandwrog Coastguard Rescue Team to assist North Wales Police in a wide area missing person search around the Newborough area.

"Coastal searches of the area carried out throughout the evening and into the early hours by coastguard rescue teams and with the Monsar lowland rescue team and search dogs searching inland areas

"Also assisting in the search of the area were the Treaddur Bay and Porthdinllaen lifeboats, Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 936, and the NPAS plane."
