FORMER Monty Python star Terry Jones has traced his Flintshire routes in a BBC TV programme.

The 67-year-old appeared in Coming Home:Terry Jones on BBC One Wales last night, where he learned more about his ancestors’ work in the county’s lead mines.

He also found out his great-grandmother used to work as a servant for one of North Wales’ most influential families, the Mostyns.

Terry, who is now a keen TV historian, said: “It’s been a terrific experience, digging around in my past and unearthing things.

“It’s a great gift. It’s been very fulfiling and exciting. I’ve learned so much about my past that I never knew.”
