GOING, going ... gone!

These pictures of falling straw bales were captured back in 1989 on the A55.

"This happened 20 years ago when I was on holiday here with my son Andrew. We emigrated to Australia in 1966 from Denbigh,” said Douglas Jones.

“I was travelling with Andrew onto the A55 from St Asaph, when I realised that the bales on the lorry in front of us were coming loose and about to fall off the lorry.

“I tried to make other drivers aware of the fact but to no avail.

“Fortunately no one was injured in the incident, and my son managed to capture these pictures,” he added.
