A CHART-TOPPING boyband have swelled their fanbase with news of new arrival at a recent Rhyl gig.
X-Factor runners up JLS are currently on the road as part of their first-ever tour of the UK.
Their shows have attracted scores of female fans with performances greeted by screams from crowds.
But for one fan the cries took on a different significance as she went into labour.
The band whose hits include ‘Beat Again’ and Everybody in Love’ kicked-off their UK tour with two sell-out shows at Rhyl’s Pavilion Theatre on January 26 and 27.
The unknown woman was at the band’s second show from the seaside theatre on January 27.
She is understood to have complained of her waters breaking during the gig and managed to scramble out of the packed theatre - housing over 1,000 screaming fans.
She was then bundled into an ambulance and taken to hospital.
News of the episode emerged when the four-piece launched a plea for the new mum to get in touch with them through a national newspaper.
Bandmember Marvin Humes revealed the band were aware of the incident by saying: “We would love to know if she had a boy or a girl.”
Staff at the Pavilion Theatre said: “We can confirm that a woman went into labour in the theatre on JLS’ second night performing at the Pavilion.
“However she did not give birth during the show.”
The Journal was approached JLS’ management company and record label for comment.
