LLANBERIS 3
LLANDYRNOG UTD 2

LLANDYRNOG’S winless Welsh Alliance sequence continued as they were pipped by Llanberis.

The visitors looked to be good value for at least a point when they made the score two-apiece with fewer than 20 minutes left to play, but the points were to stay in Llanberis with their late winning goal.

Mark Hughes popped up to hand Llanberis a 16th minute lead from the penalty spot, but Llandyrnog struck back with an Eddie Burness goal right on the stroke of half-time.

That was that until the midway point of the second period when Carwyn Jones gave the home side the lead for the second time.

Back came battling Llandyrnog and a point looked to be in the mix for the visitors when Liam Jones’ penalty hit the back of the net after 73 minutes.

It wasn’t to be Llandyrnog’s day, though, as Dafydd Jones grabbed the hosts’ winning goal nine minutes from time.
