ELEVEN tries meant that it was an excellent North Wales League Division Four weekend in the Dee Valley.
Llangollen ran out easy winners in their 71-7 home game against Caernarfon 2nds.
From the first whistle the Tower Fields men put in a workmanlike performance, keeping the visitors pinned in their half and under constant pressure.
Leading the way for Llan was number eight Huw Evans with a hat-trick of tries, while Dai Lawrence bagged a brace of scores.
There were further tries from Josh Wilson, Andy Ventre, Mark Price, Richard Jasper, Alun Bodden and Anthony Davies.
Outside half Mark Price also chipped in with eight conversions, for a personal haul of 21 points.
Llangollen head coach Ian Morris said after the big win: “I am really pleased with today’s performance, much of what we have been working on came through into the game.
“I was particularly pleased to give run-outs to some of the younger players who acquitted themselves very well.”
