MARK Webster found himself on the wrong end of a revenge mission on the oche in Derby.

The Denbigh darts ace knocked Mark Walsh out in the first round of this year’s Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship, but the roles were reversed in last Sunday’s UK Open qualifier  in Derby.

In the third round the two Marks clashed - and Walsh prevailed this time 6-4.

Walsh went on to celebrate victory in a UK Open Qualifier in Derby for a second successive year with a notable 6-2 defeat of Phil Taylor in the final.

It was another tough draw for Webster, who gained morale-boosting wins over Steve Farmer (6-3) and Roland Scholten (6-4) before falling to the eventual winner.

In Saturday’s Players Championship event, Mark had to contend with a rejuvenated Chris Mason.

Mason, returning from an eight-month break, defeated Webster 6-3 in the second round.

Mark earlier knocked out Andy Hutchings thanks to a comfortable 6-1 scoreline.

World number one Phil Taylor powered past fellow Premier League star Terry Jenkins 6-1 to claim the title in his first PDC ProTour appearance of 2010.
