A CHILDHOOD dream came true for a talented Ruthin girl who sang in front of her fairytale heroes at Disneyland Paris.
Singing sensation Llio Meirion Rogers wowed the crowds when she performed the Welsh classic Nos in front of an international audience during the resort’s Welsh Festival last weekend.
The nine-year-old Ysgol Pen Barras pupil was one of five Urdd National Eisteddfod winners handpicked to perform at the event.
Speaking after the performance the budding popstar said her favourite part of the trip was getting to try out the white knuckle rides in the Disney park.
“I wasn’t nervous about singing,” she said.
“I liked going on the rides best and my favourite ride was Space Mountain.”
Llio and her mum Elinor, dad Meirion, sister Mirain, 13, and brother Ynyi, five, spent four days at the resort along with 140 pupils from Llio’s school who also sang in the festival.
Thousands of Welsh people descended on the park to celebrate the festival together and watch the youngsters sing.
Mum Elinor said: “I was very proud to see her up there performing on stage. She first started competing in the Eisteddffod when she was three-years-old.”
Lucky Llio also got to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse and led the Disney character parade through the park along with the four other winners.
