RUTHIN Town U-14s have accomplished an amazing feat.
The fact that they’re league champions is cause for celebration in itself - but the fact that Ruthin wrapped up the title in FEBRUARY is an unbelievable statistic.
Ruthin secured the Wrexham and District Youth League crown with a hard fought 3-1 win at closest rivals Borras Park Rangers.
Having won all 12 league games played to date this season, they also stand unbeaten in two cup competitions.
Ruthin have bagged more than 100 goals this season, while conceding only 14 at the other end.
With a skilful, solid defensive unit and a goalkeeper growing in stature every week, Ruthin have become a tough team to break down. Further forward the midfield look to play open passing football with width and pace, and they have a striking pair who have scored 64 goals between them so far.
Manager/coach Paddy Carney and coaches Gary Myles and Dewi Roberts have worked hard to create a balanced, disciplined squad with the emphasis on enjoyment and participation, with Paddy due to take further FAW goalkeeping and coaching badges in the near future to further help improve the boys’ progress.
