A TOUCH of sparkle was brought to the Rhyl Pavilion last night as stars of Strictly Come Dancing, Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff, performed their live version of the show to excited fans.
Now the BBC reality TV show is over some of the professional dancers have come together to cash in on the Strictly success.
Kristina and Brian have quickly become favourites for fans after only two series and deliver great chorography on TV, so I was looking forward to sitting back and being entertained.
It was a good job Kristina delivers glamour and sophistication in abundance as the backdrop and stage styling are very poor and amateur, the overall look was a bit thrown together.
But the crowd didn't let that put them off as the sold out venue was in high spirits which the dancers, particularly Brian, thrived off.
After opening with a cheeky cha cha cha Brian had a welcoming chat and I was surprised at how well he interacted with the crowd, he was a natural front man, unlike the shows host.
Mike Newman Jnr compared the evening, badly, his jokes were inappropriate for a family crowd and older than some of Bruce Forsyth's material.
A sigh of relief would come over me every time Brian and Kristina came back on with another sparkly outfit and routine, Brian even paid tribute to the infamous John Sergeant march as they performed a paso doble, much to the crowds amusement.
Video clips of Kristina's background filled the two hour show along with a performance from a local dance troupe Splitz and Sequins, Mike also milked his stage time with a rat pack sing a long with Brian, who should have stuck to the dancing.
The pair also took part in a question and answer session where I couldn't help but ask how they felt about non professional dancer Alesha Dixon, being drafted into the TV shows judging panel.
Brian gave a smart answer, probably the best I have seen since the ageism furore erupted last winter after Alesha replaced judge Arlene Phillips.
The couple's likeability pulled them through a haphazard show that could have been improved with some other dancers filling the stage or some money spent on set design.
But I still left with a smile on my face and a spring in my step hoping one day I could be like glamour-puss Kristina!
Bring on the next series of Strictly now, I need another glitter fix!
