TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular supermarket manager who has died suddenly.

The body of Christopher Edge, 32, a trading manager at the Asda store in Queensferry, was discovered in a Vauxhall Astra on Marsh Lane, Storeton, Wirral at 6.10am on Sunday.

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: “A 32-year-old man was discovered deceased in his car by a member of the public.

“The scene was secured and preserved and we are investigating the unexplained death.”

Colleagues at Asda have paid tribute to Mr Edge on the social networking site, Facebook.

A spokesman for the supermarket told the Leader: “Colleagues at the store are absolutely devastated. Chris was a well-respected manager and our thoughts go out to the family.”

Mr Edge leaves his mother, father and brother.
