IT was a close old tussle for victory at Denbigh Golf Club over the weekend.
Club professional Michael D Jones held his annual professional’s day competition, which attracted 180 entries and the winner was Denbigh resident Richard Wynne with a good score of 42 points.
But he only beat Arwel Hughes and Eifion Lloyd Jones after a card countback.
As a result of this competition the sum of £140 was collected towards Mike’s charity which is The Cancer Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
