PREPARATIONS for the new season continued in fine fashion for Ruthin, who fielded a strong team in their comfortable 7-1 friendly win at Buckley.

Laura Seddon and Olivia Miller scored in the first half, before Buckley netted a consolation on the break early in the second period.

Ruthin finished strongly, though, and benefited from further goals from Sian Edwards (2), Linda Harrison, Eleri Jones and Paula Hurst.

Ruthin are in action again this Saturday in the North Wales tournament.
