WHEN a 19-year-old Nonna James met Eric Thomas a strong, perfect team was formed.

While Eric went on to become a successful newspaper man, Nonna ran a happy home and gave endless hours to countless charities and good causes.

The couple were married for over 50 years, ending when Eric died in 1996.

They met in Aberystwyth while both at university and as Nonna said: "We were very much in love."
