Crafty events for the kids
SUMMER holiday fun continues this week with arty and informative events for all ages at Nantclwyd y Dre, in Ruthin.
Two Creative Days will give children the chance to get crafty by creating their own masks on August 8, 2-4pm, and get their hands dirty working on a "I Like History" collage on August 15, 2-4pm.
Both workshops cost £2.50 per child, which includes admission to the house.
Batty about Nature! is on August 22, and offers children the chance to take part in games and activities looking at the wonderful wildlife of Ruthin and in particular the bats that live in the attic rooms at Nantclwyd y Dre. Kids can also try their hand at making their own bat to take home.
This is a mainly outdoor event so participants should wear sturdy shoes/boots and bring a coat just in case.
This workshop is ideal for ages 6plus, though all ages are welcome.
The month ends with a treasure hunt, drawing and colouring for another Creative Day on August 29, between 2-4pm. It costs £2.50 per child, which includes admission to the house.
There is no need to book a place, just turn up on the day. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
