There was a festival spirit about the climb up Moel Famau and plenty to make a song and dance over as a group of sturdy children scrambled to the summit to see Superlambanana installed in its new home on the highest peak in the Clwydian Range.

The heavy rain held off and although it was quite breezy it was a good day for a hillside walk.

Moel Famau's 1,800ft summit is the latest in a series of locations chosen as temporary sites for Superlambanana which was designed as part of Liverpool City of Culture and already visited Wepre Park in Deeside and Llangollen.
