Majorettes struggle to meet cost of hiring practice venue

A PRIZE-WINNING majorette troupe is struggling to meet the costs of hiring a venue for practices.



The Clwydian Majorettes, based in Ruthin, have been meeting regularly since being formed in 1969 by Hilda Lewis.

Members had been practising in Ruthin's Drill Hall, but it closed for two months at the beginning of April for refurbishment.

Since then Hilda has been struggling to find a suitable venue for the girls.
