ARE YOU A POTENTIAL VOLUNTEER?
LET US KNOW BY POSTING BELOW.Currently the service delivers only two days a week and has expanded to deliver a week-long service in Llangollen, which began on July 1.
The WRVS is commi
tted to seven days a week in Llandrillo, Ruthin and also Corwen from September onwards and to do this the service needs to recruit new volunteers.
WRVS territory manager for North Wales Catherine Jones said: "WRVS helps to change lives.
"Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. You can make a difference to the lives of people in your community and help them to live independently and with dignity.
"WRVS would be grateful for any time people can give us whether this be two hours one day a month, a fortnight or if you have more time on your hands two or three shifts a week - it all helps to make a real difference and you will be providing much-needed support and services to people who need them most. All on your doorstep."
Volunteers would be asked to attend the meal collection point at around 11.30am and would work in pairs to be either a driver or drop-off volunteer for about two hours.
Volunteers would not be expected to handle money and mileage is paid at 40p a mile.
