NO matter whether he's in Monte Carlo, Mexico, Italy or London, Ruthin is always close to David Richard's heart, writes Phoebe Smith.





The Aston Martin and Prodrive chairman may have been born in Kent but moved to Llanfair DC when he was just 11, so feels that North Wales is his true home.

"We'd always had a cottage up in Ruthin, my grandparents came from Pentrecelyn and Graigfechan, so we'd always come up at weekends and spend a lot of time here even before we moved here permanently," says David.

"If anyone asks me where I come from it's Ruthin. Your environment where you're brought up and culture around you is very important and influential to you in the long term. Consequently a rural farming community is where I feel most at home."
