Not quite the Tardis but a new police box

POLICE in the rural area around Denbigh have come up with a new way of people keeping in touch.
Specially made police boxes are being put into the local shops at Llanrhaedr, Llandyrnog, Henllan and Trefnant.
They will be ideal for local people, particularly the elderly who cannot get out and about as much, to let police know in confidence of any non-urgent information.
The special boxes are the brain child of police community support officer Jennie Hession, who works the Denbigh rural beat.
She says that they will be opened by the police on the weekly basis and that local people can leave non-urgent messages of information, suggestions or complaints, which will then be looked into.
People could also remain anonymous if they wished, she explained.
Three local companies have sponsored the idea.
Castle Steel at Denbigh have made the special police letter boxes, Penybryn Joinery of Denbigh are fitting the new boxes, and Travis and Perkins of Denbigh, have provided the police with the security locks for them.
"This is another way that local people can communicate with the police in the rural areas.
"Not everyone is able to travel to the town and when they pop to the local shop they can drop us a note about anything that may concern them," PCSO Hession explained.
