POLICE are trying to set up a regular surgery in St Asaph Library.

At the town council's March meeting, PC Osian Davies told councillors that he was eager to speak to members of the public in the town to find out any areas of concern and local issues.

"There does not seem to be much trust in the St Asaph community towards North Wales Police and I think this is because they feel that the police do not have much of a presence in the town," he said.

"Despite several rumours going around I have to say that I will not be moved from St Asaph. I'm definitely here for the next 12 months."

PC Davies said that he hopes to be in the town's library on Tuesdays to speak to any residents who want to drop by - depending on his schedule.
