Police in call for help to stop illegal forest raves

SOUTH Denbighshire Police are asking for public assistance to combat raves.




Inspector Mike Hughes, who is based in Denbigh, said that although raves - illegal dance parties - have gone on for years, they have recently seen a resurgence.

"These illegal dance parties that are held most often on Forestry Commission land and against the wishes of landowners and local people," said Insp Hughes.

"They can be a real nuisance and destroy quality of life for locals for whole weekends at a time."
