The oil painting, which was created by a Denbigh artist called Marsha, has been in Rufus Carter's family for over 20 years and now he is keen to trace the identity of the party-goers pictured in it.

"It was painted for my mum back when we had the old Patchwork office before we moved to our factory here in Ruthin," said Rufus. "She wanted something to brighten up the wall and asked Marsha to paint us a picture."

He added: "Lately we were thinking of getting rid of it, but I was intrigued about the people in the picture and wanted to find out more. I've asked a few people about it and we think it was painted at a party in Ruthin Castle - at least 20 years ago."

Do you recognise yourself or anybody else in this painting? If so contact the Free Press on 01745 357518 or email phoebe.smith@nwn.co.uk
