Police will be stopping motorists on the A44 in Broadwas this evening, one week on from the death of a man following a road traffic collision on the road.

One man died after two cars collided on the A44 in Knightwick last night on Tuesday, January 20.

The collision took place at around 6.20pm and police will be close the scene again tonight (January 27) asking drivers travelling from Bromyard to Worcester if they witnessed either of the two vehicles involved in the lead up to the collision or in the collision itself.

Sgt Ian Booth said: “We will be asking drivers for any information they may have and appreciate their cooperation in this matter.

“This may well cause some minor delays but this will be for a very short period indeed.”

Officers will be in the area between 6.15-6.30pm.

The incident took place when a grey Honda Civic SE was travelling towards Bromyard on the A44 when it was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Vivaro Sportive panel van travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Honda, a man in his 30s, died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the van and his passenger were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
