A VISIT to the European Parliament in Strasbourg is on the cards for a group of Denbighshire secondary school students who used their creative writing talents to come out top in an essay competition.

The competition was arranged by the Europe Direct Llangollen, set up to promote European issues and educate people about the work of the EU.

Seven of the eight secondary schools in Denbighshire took part in the competition and students were asked to write an essay on Europe: My Vision for the Future.
