A COUNCILLOR has made a plea for ideas, photographs and contributions to help with a town guide.

At a meeting of Denbigh Town Council, Cllr Ian Davies reported on the latest meeting of the Denbigh town guidebook 2008-2010 group.

Cllr Davies reported that time was spent studying the current guide, noting corrections, checking factual information and discussing amendments to the map plus ideas for new photographs and images.

Local historian R M Owen took along an array of postcards and pictures to be considered for publication, while publishing consultant Andrea Miller advised the group on bringing the guide alive with photos of movement and people being active.

A new introduction, Welcome to Denbigh - a word from the Mayor, has been written, featuring the current incumbent Cllr Colin Hughes.

Cllrs Gaynor Morgan Rees and Ian Davies agreed to look at finding pictures from Theatr Twm o'r Nant, while Cllr Medwyn Williams said he would take more photos, using the town council's digital camera.

Cllr Davies said any sports photos would be much appreciated to illustrate information on clubs and individuals in the Denbigh area.
