The family of the man who was assaulted in Ruthin last weekend have thanked North Wales Police and the public for their assistance.
The 36-year-old, who was assaulted during the early hours of Saturday, February 17 on Clwyd Street, remains in hospital in Stoke but his condition is said to be improving.
His family wish to thank all witnesses who have come forward with information that will assist the investigation. They have also thanked North Wales Police.
21-year-old Connor Neil Hooley of Ruthin was charged with attempt murder and appeared before Llandudno Magistrates earlier this week. He has since been remanded and will appear before Crown Court again next month.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers continue to appeal for any witnesses and anybody with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number W019899.
