FIRE crews continue to tackle a huge blaze at the former North Wales Hospital site in Denbigh.
The roof of the building is involved in the fire, leaving the building in an unsafe condition.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Services said: "Crews are currently in attendance at a fire at the former North Wales Hospital site in Denbigh. North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 12.28pm today.
"Appliances from Denbigh, Ruthin, Rhyl, Holywell, Abergele, and Mold, as well as the aerial ladder platform and incident command unit from Rhyl, are in attendance at the incident.
"Motorists are asked to avoid the area to allow the emergency services to deal with the incident.
"Firefighters will remain on scene for some time in order to extinguish the fire."
