The Henllan Extravaganza returns this weekend for it’s 17th year and another fun filled day for the whole community.

In the spirit of this celebration, the organising committee has planned a jam packed day for the whole community presided over by the Extravaganza’s Royal Family King and Queen Owain Lloyd and Rebecca Walker and Princesses Erin Salusbury and Cari-Ann Lawson-Stoner.

This year’s royals will be ascending their thrones for the Extravaganza with a very special coronation opening the event with Mr & Mrs Helen & Andrew owners of Village shop and Post Office at 11am.

Come and meet This year’s extravaganza will see an expanded dedicated children’s area with a Nerf gun battle, water shooting games, a bouncy castle, sumo wrestling, angry birds, hook a duck, sand art, stocks and, of course, face painting.

The youngest members of the family will also be catered for with their very own baby nursing/changing tent.

The Axemen return this this year for another electrifying timber sport display demonstrating feats of strength, agility and expertise that is not to be missed.

Also back this year is the impressive classic car, bike and tractor display, as are the falconry demonstrations and from appearance from ferrets, shire horses and faithful mainstays Emlyn and Horlicks the Sheep.

Add into the mix a variety of trade stalls featuring the village’s businesses and residents, a car boot sale and Glan Clwyd Radio - there really is something to get everyone into the carnival spirit.

This year’s tombola has once again been generously supported with donations from the community during the Henllan Community and Leisure Association’s annual trolley dash.

We would like to thank Denbigh businesses, and all sponsors, for their kind and a fantastic response of support and donations raising £353 in cash and providing a variety of great prizes up for grabs.
