TRIBUTES have been paid to a 22-year-old man who died after an incident involving a tractor at Prion, near Denbigh.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Saturday afternoon. It was later confirmed that a man, named locally as Bryn Jones, had died.
North Wales Police have released few details about the incident which has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
The Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue attended the incident
Denbighshire County Councillor Joe Welch said: “It is a tragic shock and a tremendous loss to the whole family.
"He was well known and well liked in the local farming community.
“I know his mother who works in the school my children attend. I believe he was the eldest of four children, the others are all sisters.”
Dafydd Rhys, head teacher of Ysgol Pant Pastynog primary at Prion, said Bryn’s mother worked at the school as a teaching assistant. He said: “The whole school is deeply saddened at the news, the children and staff are al very upset, we all think highly of Bryn’s mother and feel for her.”
A fellow member of Nantglyn Young Farmers club said: “It has been a great shock to us, Bryn was a very outgoing person and fun to have around. He was always enthusiastic about everything we do. He was always cheerful and in good spirits and the centre of laughter.
“Bryn was liked by all, and I know he was very close to some of the lads in the club and I’m sure they are devastated.”
