Sometimes I
Laura Critchley (Big Print Music)

LIVERPOOL lass Laura Critchley has released her new single, Sometimes I.
This single is a catchy pop song, one that young girls across the country will be singing into their hairbrushes!
The song is the title track to her debut album and, due to the date it was released on (February 18), is said to offer the perfect Valentine's message for tongue-tied lovers.
The single is remixed by Ash Howes (who has previously worked with Kylie Minogue and Nelly Furtado) and is produced by Steve Power (renowned for his work with Robbie Williams).
Laura, 23, has lovely vocals, with a slight Sophie Ellis Bexter sound.
Her voice has also been likened to those of Sheryl Crow, Natalie Imbruglia and Leann Rimes.
She has already made her mark on the music industry, having sung on Robbie Williams' new as-yet-untitled album, and has been asked by Ronan Keating to perform with him at a charity ball.
Her singing talent has been praised by fellow performers, Mika, who says: "I love Laura's voice, she makes you feel the emotion in the song", and Rod Stewart.
Her live performance is said to have gone 'from strength to strength' in the past few months, supporting the likes of Deacon Blue and The Sugababes.
Laura has been pipped for the big time, and although not one that is personally to my taste, I'm sure it will be very popular.
Sometimes I, is an upbeat pop song and if you love cheesy sing-along songs, then this is definitely for you!
