WITH seven matches of the current campaign still left to play, Ruthin Town are already turning their minds towards next season.
Struggling at the foot of the Huws Gray Alliance standings, the Memorial Park Fields club have started their search for a new first team manager for the 2013-14 campaign.
Ruthin may not be enjoying the best of seasons, but they remain a prominent club in North Wales, have been members of the Cymru Alliance for the last two decades.
The club can boast three senior teams and eight youth teams, which shows that Ruthin is arguably one of the biggest clubs in terms of players and coaches in North Wales.
The successful candidate will manage the first team and oversee the highly successful reserves and colts teams, who are both at the top of their respective divisions in the Wrexham Area League.
Meanwhile, the new manager will also be expected to take a keen interest in the youth structure of the club, which is run as a separate entity.
Ruthin are also keen to attract quality players to the club and therefore a good knowledge of North Wales football would be beneficial.
Club chairman Brian Griffiths said: “We’ve decided to start the process now as we have already had a lot of interest.
“Applications are invited via e-mail and should arrive by the end of Friday, March 8.
“We will talk to every serious applicant on a formal basis within weeks of that closing date.
“We have not given up on our fight for survival and everything that can be done is being done.”
Griffiths added: “I still believe that we are more than capable of remaining in the Cymru Alliance and you can never predict exactly what will happen at the end of any season.
“Whatever happens for this season in isolation our development plans will remain.
“We have completed the first phase, out of three phases, to create a separate ground and the Welsh Football Trust has granted further funds for phase two.
“This is the biggest change at Ruthin for over 30 years and will enable us to, as a minimum, comply with future Tier two requirements.
“We are an ambitious club and are looking for a manager that can match those ambitions.”
Applications should be sent to Brian Griffiths by e-mailing email@example.com giving a brief outline of experience and coaching qualifications to date.
All applicants will be treated in confidence.
