LLANRHAEADR 9

LLANGYNHAFAL 2

THE form team entering the latter stages of the Tony Evans Memorial Shield have to be Llanrhaeadr.

Days after ending champions Cefn's hopes of achieving the double this season, Martin Baldry's charges maintained their excellent run of form with a comfortable 9-2 first round triumph versus battling Llangynhafal.

A four-midable showing from top scorer Wil Roberts set the home Llan on their way to booking a semi-final spot.

Roberts bagged four goals on the night to take his tally for the summer up to a sweet 16 goals.

Tom Roberts found the back of the net twice for the victors and also on target for Llanrhaeadr were Osian Davies, Ian Evans and Dyfed Baldry.

A weakened Llangynhafal also had their moments on the evening and they benefited from goals by Alun Vaughan-Evans and Rowan Gibson.
