THE top two in the Denbigh and District League have clashed during another high quality week of local darts.
The Wingmen and Masons A played out a pulsating 4-4 draw last week, with Masons man Dave Davies grabbing a last game win to salvage a share of the spoils.
The Wingmen's victories came from Dil Martin, Danny Tinney, Jamie Dowell and a doubles success by Dave Cooke and Rich Martin.
Masons A were able to respond with wins by John Jones and Dave Davies, coupled with doubles successes by Glyn Lloyd / Robin Jones and Dave Davies / Shane Evans.
Danny Tinney hit home an excellent 143 finish, with Dil Martin secured a maximum in their respective matches.
In another high quality game, Wings A sneaked a 5-3 result at Masons B.
Here, there was a 144 outshot from Ian Jones, as well as a 180 and 16-dart leg by Deian Roberts.
Masons B player Jack Little hit a 126 finish.
Railway A picked up a steady 6-2 win over Golden Lion C to conclude the A-League action for the evening.
Golden Lion B fell to a first defeat of the campaign, with the Hand Inn picking up their first winning point of their B-League campaign via a 5-3 result.
The Kinmel Arms continued their fine form with a 6-2 verdict at White Lion A, while Wings B let slip a 4-2 advantage to draw with White Lion B.
Railway B snuffed out the threat of the Plough Inn 5-3 to end the action during week six.
