COMPETITIVE football is on the horizon for Gwynedd players.

Following the North Wales Girls' League AGM earlier this week, two Bala teams will be entering the competition from next season.

Bala Junior Girls, in partnership with Bala Town FC and CICS Cymru, have officially entered the North Wales Girls League for the 2018/2019 season.

For the forthcoming session, the club be entering an U-12s team, which is open for girls in years six and seven next year.

In addition, Bala will also be running an U-14s team in the league, which welcomes girls in years eight and nine.

This will help the club to create a pathway for girls to the recently created ladies' team, which is preparing for its second season of competitive action.

Preparations are well underway to create new grass pitches behind Maes Tegid for the girls to play on every Saturday morning.

Announcements will be made regarding how girls will be able to register for the squads for the coming season in the next few weeks.

The girls currently train on the Maes Tegid 3G pitch between 6 and 7pm on Monday evenings.
